The chilling psychological suspense novel You will be making a move that is so Joe Goldberg by returning earlier than anticipated. This Thanksgiving, viewers of the wildly popular Netflix series starring Penn Badgley and based on the works of Caroline Kepnes have a lot to be thankful for thanks to the announcement that Season 4 will premiere one day earlier than anticipated. Your Season 4 is gearing up to be another knockout when it debuts this February, just in time for Valentine’s Day, with anticipation growing in the wake of some extremely bizarre events in Season 3!

According to a TV Insider update posted on Thursday, Netflix said that the first episode of the future season of You will air on Thursday, February 9, 2023, and the second episode will air exactly one month later, on Thursday, March 9, 2023. At 3 a.m. E.T., both episodes will be made available on Netflix globally. After the events of Season 3, when Joe (Badgley) divorced Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) over his most recent obsession with librarian Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle), he leaves the country pretending to be Professor Jonathan Moore. Moving to London for Marienne, Joe develops an obsession with Kate, the director of an art gallery, as a result of his roving voyeuristic gaze and sadistic romanticism (Charlotte Ritchie). Now that Kate is involved, what will happen to his friendship with Marianne?

While little is known about what Season 4 of the hot series will feature when it returns this winter, a previous teaser confirmed a new aspect of Joe’s life would be explored, including his membership in a group of wealthy socialites, many of whom will undoubtedly receive the scathing, frequently signature sarcastic criticism from Joe. However, when the Londoners claim they are being targeted by a killer who is killing them one by one, it appears that Joe is returning to his detective methods to uncover the perpetrators of the horrible crimes in a manner reminiscent of another dark anti-hero, Dexter Morgan.

In a discussion on his podcast, Podcrushed, Badgley said he would have a pretty direct response to Joe Goldberg if he had ever met the actor in real life. “Imagine that I was infatuated with him, that I was able to meet him in a secure environment, and that he was eager to hear what I had to say. I would try to love him. Because, in reality, he’s never understood it,” he added, adding that spending a lot of time with the character has also made him more sympathetic. I feel as though I would stare at him for a very long time. He requires affection. I feel like hugging him. I would embrace him.

Ritchie, an actress well known for her work on BBC One’s Ghosts, will be joining Badgley this season. The 33-year-old star described the part as “difficult” and “exciting” in an earlier interview with the Radio Times. She told the magazine, “I haven’t found something this tough in a long time,” noting how her role has an “icy” quality. I never quite feel like I can do it. It’s a tedious repetition that those who are close to me have to hear me say. However, this one stands out due to the glossy nature of both the character and the show, where everyone frequently sports incredibly nice outfits.

You Season 4 Part 1 will debut on Thursday, February 9, 2023, followed by Part 2 on Wednesday, March 9, 2023, taking a page from Netflix’s most recent structure around premiere drops divided into parts like Stranger Things.
