Ryan Coogler, co-writer and director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, thanks viewers of the movie in an emotional open letter. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever currently has an 84 percent rating from reviewers and has taken in over $300 million domestically and almost $561.7 million internationally.

Director Ryan Coogler of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sent a statement to Marvel Studios in which he sincerely appreciates everyone who saw the film in theatres and helped promote it through positive word-of-mouth and general conversation. He continues by thanking the audience for having patience with a number of factors that would have turned off some viewers, such as the film’s protracted running time, its wide range of foreign languages, and its sad themes.

Given the close relationship Coogler had with the late Chadwick Boseman, it was difficult to fathom another director helming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may be a fitting memorial, judging by how T’Challa’s death was handled, which chose to honour Boseman’s untimely death. In the end, mourning was a major subject of the movie, and Coogler’s own experience with losing Boseman was beautifully depicted onscreen.

The movie was the ideal emotional release, as he proposed in his open letter. Beyond thematic alignment, Coogler also contributed to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever by using his expertise as a director of the Creed movies to shoot well-choreographed action scenes between the Wakandans and Talokan. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was an ambitious undertaking that faced significant obstacles, but Coogler and his creative team surmounted them and delivered a tribute that is deserving in many respects. It’s touching to witness Coogler become even more vulnerable with his audience on an emotional level. Additionally, it is a sign that Coogler was the perfect option for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and any sequels to have him express his gratitude and acknowledge the variety of difficulties the film faced.
