Netflix Renewal Status Off Wednesday Season 2 & What to Expect

Wednesday

Everyone was shocked when Wednesday didn’t show up the week before Halloween. The wait has been well worth it, though. We are confident that fans will be anxious to see where Wednesday goes next after a dark and very entertaining season. We still have time as we wait for Netflix to decide what will happen to Wednesday. Fans should not fear; Wednesday will definitely be resumed soon.

One of the most eagerly awaited Netflix programmes of 2022 was Wednesday. Aided by the involvement of Tim Burton, who on Wednesday made his television directorial debut. Burton served as both a producer and a director for the project. Not to mention how thrilled the audience was when Jenna Ortega’s classic Wednesday Addams outfit was first shown on Netflix.

Netflix renewal status of Wednesday Season 2

Wednesday had only recently been released on Netflix at the time of writing. Given that Netflix did not choose to renew Wednesday, ahead of the release of season 1, this suggests that the streaming service will wait to see how the series performs before deciding to renew. We anticipate a strong performance on Wednesday, and we anticipate some impressive viewing figures over the next few weeks. We can expect an update on renewal once Netflix is satisfied with how the series has performed.

What can we expect from the second season of Wednesday?

Wednesday was sent some ominous messages immediately after turning on the phone Xavier had bought her, as she gleefully realised she had acquired her first stalker. We already know Wednesday had a limited online presence due to her aversion to social media. But, given that Xavier is the one who gave her a new phone, it’s impressive that a stalker was already able to send her messages. But it’s no surprise that Wednesday has gotten a lot of attention because of her antics.

Who will be the next Nevermore Principal?

Larissa Weems’ passing has left Nevermore Academy without a principal. There is also a very small pool of potential applicants for the position. The most logical candidate would be Wednesday’s mother, Morticia Addams, if she were to be given the position. Morticia would be the best candidate to take over as she is a Nightshade and a former student of Nevermore. However, Wednesday would exert every effort to depose her mother as principal, which would be amusing and almost certainly terrible. If Morticia is appointed principal of Nevermore, Catherine Zeta-Jones would need to be promoted to series regular.

What will become of Laurel?

Laurel was able to revive Jeremiah Crackstone after her true name was made known, but Wednesday stopped him. Additionally, it became clear that Tyler was under her control because Tyler was tricked into changing into a hyde. Although Laurel’s goals have been stopped for the time being, if Tyler helps save his master, the two may have even more sinister plans for Nevermore and the outcasts.

Pugsley might join Nevermore?

Although the age gap between Pugsley and Wednesday is unknown, we do know that, prior to Wednesday’s transfer to Nevermore, they both attended the same high school. The entire family might relocate with Morticia if she accepts the principal position at Nevermore. The look on Wednesday’s face as she naturally does everything in her ability to prevent him from trying to hang out with her would be priceless.

What is Tyler going to do next?

When Tyler was last seen, he was being transported in chains to either a maximum security prison or a psychiatric ward. However, Tyler changed into his Hyde form before the transport could depart, giving the audience the impression that he had killed all of the armed security guards. Will Tyler be more dangerous now that he is free and doesn’t have his master around? Or, will he make an effort to change his ways so he may go back to Jehrico?

Will Tim Burton direct again?

Tim Burton directed some of the episodes, which was heavily emphasised in much of the first season’s advertising. The rumoured Beetlejuice sequel is the only upcoming project Burton is slated to work on. There’s no reason he can’t return to direct more episodes, though, given that he didn’t contribute to the writing of any Wednesday episodes and only directed the first half of the season. Although it would be regrettable if Burton did not return to directing, it is not necessary, and the show would still go on.
