Kanye West allegedly skipped a deposition that was planned as part of his divorce from Kim Kardashian. According to court papers submitted earlier this week, as reported by Page Six, West did not arrive for the meeting on November 16. A second opportunity for the rapper to take a deposition has reportedly been provided. It will take place on November 29.

Page Six reports that West has been given a second chance to take a deposition at the office of Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser. However, if he skips that appointment as well, the judge will decide whether or not West will be permitted to offer any testimony, oral or written, before the former couple’s trial starts, according to the court documents.

According to a court document obtained by Page Six, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are still engaged in settlement discussions but are hoping to resolve all outstanding issues, “or at least limit the issues,” before their trial on December 14. It has been claimed that Kim and Kanye have not spoken to one another since their divorce and that all communication regarding the children’s schedules is now handled by assistants. An insider said that the couple “has had zero communication in several weeks.”

Kanye’s sudden absence from the divorce deposition in which he was scheduled also coincided with his continuing antisemitic scandal. The rapper launched into a tirade on social media, making debatable comments that also led to the restriction of his account. In a statement posted on social media, Kardashian responded publicly and denounced the “hate rhetoric” of her ex-husband. She wrote, “I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.”
