Jungkook dances atop skyscrapers to spread message of peace in music video for FIFA World Cup anthem ‘Dreamers’

BTS member Jungkook kicked off the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a live performance of this year’s official World Cup anthem Dreamers at the opening ceremony on Sunday.The track’s official music video was released on Tuesday. It was sung by Jungkook and Qatari singer Fahad Al Qubaisi.

The music video opens with Jungkook, dressed in white, emerging from an ornate hallway with a shimmering ceiling. As the song begins, he continues walking towards the light. Singer Fahad Al Qubaisi appears on the ship and sings along. In the video, Jungkook also dances on location in Qatar surrounded by people belonging to different communities and races. The song also emphasized the word “respect”.

The video is interspersed with images of whale sharks representing the host country of the World Cup. Interestingly, the whale also served as a metaphor for his BTS fans (aka Army), reminding them that they are not alone according to the fandom.

Jungkook also appears on the skyscraper helipad and starts dancing. Its signature all-black look is grooved against the background of multiple flags of the various countries participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding to the single’s graphic appeal.
