Everything We Know So Far About Netflix’s Movie Damsel

Damsel

Millie Bobby Brown has quickly become one of Netflix’s most sought-after actresses, having appeared in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, and the streaming service has yet another project in which she will star as the lead. Here’s what we know so far about Damsel, the upcoming fantasy film. Damsel, an upcoming fantasy film starring Brown, will subvert the “damsel in distress” trope by having her heroine slay the dragon herself rather than waiting for a knight to save her. Damsel will be directed by Oscar nominee Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who has previously worked on 28 Weeks Later and Intruders.

Dan Mazeau, who worked on Wrath of the Titans and several upcoming high-budget films, wrote the script for the film. Roth Kirschenbaum Films will be produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum. Mazeau, Zack Roth, and Chris Castaldi are executive producers alongside Brown (under her PCMA banner). Orchid Productions Ltd is also listed among the project’s production companies. The project is expected to cost between $60 and $70 million. Everything else we know about Netflix’s Damsel is as follows:
