Halloween Ends Review Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode

A new behind-the-scenes film for Halloween Ends analyses Laurie Strode and Michael Myers’ vicious final confrontation. Jamie Lee Curis plays Laurie Storde in the most recent installment of the long-running slasher horror series, which David Gordon Green directed. Four years have passed since the events of Halloween Kills, and in this final installment of the franchise, Laurie is still having trouble coming to terms with her terrible past as she confronts the Haddonfield boogeyman.

As Halloween Ends is now available digitally and is slated to be released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 27, a new video (via ComicBook) gives viewers an inside look at the remarkable stunt work required to capture Laurie and Myers’ fateful confrontation on camera. James Jude Courtney (Myers) compliments Curtis’ work ethic and toughness on set as the actor is shown with actual injuries.

Did Halloween’s climax Live Up To the Expectations?

Halloween Ends received a lukewarm fan and critical response as soon as it was released, earning a dismal 40% Rotten rating on the review aggregator website, Rotten Tomatoes. Despite receiving unfavorable reviews, the movie still made over $104 million at the box office. Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills managed $255 million and $133 million respectively, making Halloween Ends the H40 trilogy’s lowest-grossing film.

Many of the complaints of Halloween Ends focused on the plot involving Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), the absence of Myers, and the script’s general lack of quality. Fans were generally dissatisfied with how the legendary slasher was cast aside in what may be his final appearance, despite the bold narrative decision of showing the corrupting of evil through Corey. Fans were mainly unimpressed with Green’s last movie due to the perceived storyline and character discrepancies with earlier movies, as well as a much-maligned finale scene in which Michael Myers’ body was brought in a procession and thrown in an industrial shredder.

What Will Happen To The Halloween Franchise Next?

The Halloween franchise will take a long break as a result of Green’s prior declaration that Halloween Ends is his final movie and Curtis’s announcement that she is leaving Laurie Strode behind her. Jason Blum, the CEO and founder of Blumhouse Productions, has clarified that Halloween Ends will not be the series’ final installment but merely the final horror movie under the studio, providing some hope for The Shape’s eventual comeback. A future reboot or prequel film will probably be the only path forward for the well-known film franchise because Halloween Ends revealed the death of Myers, the serial murderer who bears the burden of the franchise.
