Kristen: For years, I pretended that Ben and her got along well before he knew I existed. I’m a big fan of Ben Platt. So when I worked with him, I had to lower the intensity. We see everything he does. My daughters are crazy about him. I felt like I came in with a very well formed relationship. Ben: I felt the same way. I will forever love Kristen from afar and we are both musical theater geeks and it felt like we had a common wavelength there.Like I’ve known her longer than I have felt. This was her one of the easiest and brightest parts of the whole experience. Ben: The answer is that I failed. Especially the scene with Kristen and Karan Soni, who plays my boyfriend in the movie, made me laugh. He was such a great improviser and gave me so many funny improvisations that really tickled my crazy bones. Written by Lizzie Molyneux-Rogelin and Wendy Molyneux, Claire Scanlon stars Allison Janney, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Dustin Milligan, Isaac de Bankole, Karan Soni, Tony Goldwyn and Yoma. Taccone, Julian Ovenden and John McMillan also play major roles. The movie will be released on Prime Video on November 18th.
