While we won’t know the decisions made by all the Season 3 couples at the altar on their wedding day until next week’s finale, we do know how one couple’s big day turned out. In the tenth episode of the most popular Netflix series, SK and Raven’s wedding was cut short by SK’s tearful declaration of “I don’t” in front of their loved ones, citing their fundamental differences as the cause. Both Love Is Blind stars discussed what the reality series didn’t disclose about their relationship after the release and their reactions to episodes 8 through 10.
Beginning with Raven Following SK’s choice, the pilates teacher left the altar in tears, telling the cameras that she had intended to say yes to her fiance after getting to know him via the experiment. She expressed her opinion on the program in the following words:
“I was clearly really shocked. I feel like the whole time, I was definitely not portrayed as an emotional person. So it was probably shocking for everyone to see me be such a crybaby. But it was a really emotional day. I definitely was unprepared. We had gone through this whole experience. I was definitely on cloud nine after our build-up of having a great relationship, so I was a little shocked.”
According to Raven, the show did not adequately portray how emotional she is, which may have surprised viewers when she shed a tear at the altar. The Love Is Blind participant was very smitten with SK and on the verge of proposing to her, but he refrained. Here are SK’s observations on Season 3:
“I think Raven and I’s story, the way it was portrayed on the show, I kind of feel bad watching it, especially from the perspective of the audience, because a lot of our love story wasn’t completely told in the way it was portrayed. The narrative focused a lot more on some other subjects and some other incidents in the show. I feel like the audience missed out on that love story, on how it even came to be. If I were watching it myself, not being in the experience, I would have a lot of blanks.”
True, this season, in particular, Love Is Blind has seemed to be about all the drama. The travels of five couples as they fell in love, got engaged, went on vacation, moved in together, and prepared for their weddings can only be partially shown in an edit. I’m not surprised that the show doesn’t always present Raven and SK’s relationship realistically because it feels like a highlight reel of some genuine people’s life.
