See the True Story Behind The Good Nurse in the Netflix Official Teaser for Capturing the Killer Nurse

Capturing

A trailer released today follows the hunt for the heartless killer and explains how he got away with his crimes for so long. Cullen was able to operate undetected because there were no witnesses or hard evidence to accuse him of the strange deaths, as explained by a voiceover. The trailer features the faces of several people involved in the case, including hardworking detectives and the woman at the centre of it all, Amy Loughren – Cullen’s coworker who put an end to his repulsive behaviour after witnessing him murdering a patient. The author of the book, Charles Graeber, the families of the victims whose lives were irrevocably altered, and video of Cullen being questioned by the police will also be featured.
The documentary, which was directed by Tim Travers Hawkins (XY Chelsea), will detail how Cullen went from being a cherished member of the Somerset Medical Center staff to being locked up and accused of numerous murders. The trailer makes it obvious that Cullen thought he was assisting the victims of his crimes; the actual death toll during his lengthy nursing career at various Northeastern hospitals may have been in the hundreds. The film also promises to delve into the unsettling fact that Cullen is not the first member of his trade to have committed such horrible atrocities. This is maybe the most chilling fact of all.

Netflix frequently doubles down on true crime programming. For example, around the same time, they released both Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and the Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. They did something similar with the documentary Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes and the television series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. Following the release of the true crime-inspired film The Good Nurse (read our review HERE), the documentary Capturing the Killer Nurse is now available. The documentary’s teaser trailer, which will be available on the streaming service on November 11th,
