The Sandman recently got renewed for Season 2 at Netflix. The first season of The Sandman on Netflix has been particularly entertaining to watch because Neil Gaiman enjoys interacting with readers of his works. Fans are asking what will happen to the characters from the graphic novel that we haven’t yet met on screen after the show was renewed for Season 2.

Delirium belongs to that cast. Gaiman, who enjoys a large following on Tumblr, was asked if “the castings for the new Sandman season have begun yet.” Mason Alexander Park is the famous person who famously entered the Desire casting pool on social media and was successful in getting the role. Gaiman said, “Not yet. We only got officially properly confirmed this week.”

Delirium is the youngest of the seven Endless beings and the rarest in that she can frequently change her form solely based on her emotions. Her emerald green and pale blue eyes are the only permanent features. Delirium was first introduced in the fourth collection of comics, The Sandman: Season of Mists. Her older brother Destiny, with whom she is typically regarded as being closer, is unaware of the reasons why she changed from being the personification of Delight to taking on the character of Delirium. Delirium also appears to have greater prophetic insight than her siblings, but due to her disorganised thinking, much of what she has to say frequently comes too late or is almost nonsensical.

In addition, he shared some insider knowledge regarding casting, including the fact that pretending to be an actor when applying for a position won’t work. Which I love to see as someone who studied acting for years and majored in performance theatre. Not because it’s impossible for fans to imagine themselves in their favourite works, but rather because doing so requires a lot more work than simply dressing up and imagining yourself in the role.

Given that Gaiman has hinted that Delirium would play a part in upcoming episodes of The Sandman, it appears likely that Season of Mists will be adapted for the programme. Gaiman previously hinted that a future episode of the show might feature a rematch between Lucifer and Dream, a crucial plot point in the comic collection that would result in the ruler of Hell leaving their position and travelling to Earth and giving rise to the spin-off comic book series that served as the inspiration for the other popular Netflix series.
