The relationship between Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown has “healthy” boundaries. The actress spoke to Deadline about working with the 39-year-old Superman actor on the Enola Holmes films, in which she portrays his renowned investigator Sherlock’s younger sister. Her friendship with him, according to Brown, is more “mature.”

Millie Bobby Brown was questioned about developing her on-screen chemistry and dynamic with Henry Cavill in the mystery film during an interview with Deadline to promote Enola Holmes 2. Was there a difference in building her camaraderie with Cavill that she may have observed while filming, particularly when comparing it to her connection with her Stranger Things co-stars Noah Schnapp and Charlie Heaton. Brown revealed, “It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates. And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship. Like a really good friendship, a really healthy one.”

Brown further said, “One friendship that we have terms and conditions. I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, ‘Millie, shut up. No.’ And I’m like ‘Understood.'” She further continuedby saying, “Whereas with the Stranger Things kids, it’s different. There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings. But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.”

Director Harry Bradbeer of Enola Holmes 2 spoke to Deadline about how he observed Cavill and Brown develop their sibling chemistry for the film series. He said, “In a way, Henry, like Sherlock, has a very rational approach but is learning more and more to have fun and to be spontaneous. And of course, Millie and he had this very interesting, enjoyable dynamic where they’re always poking at each other. And Millie tickles him up a little bit and surprises him. And he goes with it.”
