After more than ten years of dating, Lauren Graham finally takes the lead, and Peter Krause no longer follows.

The “Gilmore Girls” actress is speaking up about her breakup with the “9-1-1” actor for the first time, revealing that their disagreement over “basic questions” finally led to their choice to part ways.In an interview that was released on Wednesday, she said, “I believe part of all the advantages of having known each other for a long period was there.” One drawback of that is that we nearly entered a relationship as adults in our 40s without asking any of the questions that adults in their 40s need to be asking.

We were having so much fun that she continued, “I guess I didn’t ask some basic questions like, ‘What are your beliefs and what do you envision?’ and much more grown-up things. “And then they simply overtook us.” The two “quietly dissolved their romance” in 2021, according to representatives for the celebrity.

On the set of “Caroline in the City” in 1995, Graham and Krause first came into contact and later became friends. Graham frequently appeared as a guest on the NBC sitcom. Krause, on the other hand, only made an appearance in one episode, but the two connected right away. They portrayed brother and sister on the NBC dramedy “Parenthood,” and that is when their romance formally started. The final episode of the six-season program aired in 2015.

Graham and Krause maintained a somewhat low-key relationship throughout the years, but they occasionally appeared together at public occasions, such as the 2020 Golden Globes, which was their final outing as a pair. Graham stated that she will not let the breakup “flatten me,” instead preferring to utilize the experience to inform her most recent essay book, “Have I Already Told You This? Stories that I don’t want to forget. Given her involvement in raising the actor’s kid from a prior relationship, the actor said the divorce is “still just a shame” even if Graham is in a “better position” now that she’s moved back to Los Angeles to concentrate on her career.

Any kind of agony, she said, “yet has its moments.” “I made a difference in his child’s life, thus we are related. And even if I’ve improved, it’s still unfortunate. To me, it’s just sad. Alexis Bledel, a co-star of Graham’s on “Gilmore Girls,” recently divorced her husband Vincent Kartheiser after eight years of marriage. In a 2020 interview with TVLine, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said, “I genuinely do believe that if the moment is perfect and the girls are where they need to be in their life [it might happen].” Amy Sherman-Palladino has long hinted about a sequel to Netflix’s “A Year in the Life” revival.
