Will there be a sequel to the Netflix film The Curse of Bridge Hollow?

The Curse of Bridge Hollow, the newest Halloween movie on Netflix, has an age-old storyline. This 90-minute movie, which was intended to be a horror film, is anything but. The entire idea of the movie falls flat, and neither the twists nor the surprises are particularly surprising.

The main characters Howard (Marlon Wayans), Emily (Kelly Rowland), and Sydney (Priah Ferguson) learn that their home is haunted soon after settling in Bridge Hollow, but predictably, the information does not scare them away. They can’t help but be intrigued. The former owner, a medium herself who could communicate with spirits, is summoned by Howard and his family using the Ouija board. They hear creaking floors and doors opening, and when an old, cobwebby box appears that looks suspicious, they obviously open it. But these movies wouldn’t exist if common reason had the upper hand in them.

The only thing The Curse of Bridge Hollow lives up to is the intensity of this genre’s feel-good stories. As a simple afternoon movie for families to sit around their televisions and plan what horrifying costumes to wear and what pranks to pull when the neighbourhood kids come knocking, it stays true to the spirit of Halloween, a festival about having fun with your family. This is possibly what the makers were going for.

The movie’s epilogue does imply that there might be a sequel. But as of this writing, Netflix has not made any announcements regarding The Curse of Bridge Hollow 2. The success of the film with viewers will probably determine the likelihood of a sequel. We don’t yet have watching statistics because the film has only recently been published, but we anticipate that it will be well-liked by families searching for something to watch during the Halloween season. The Curse of Bridge Hollow seemed to be a perfect fit for the crowd that favoured that upbeat comedy.
