Regrettably, the KBS2 K-drama If You Wish Upon Me (also known as Tell Me Your Wish) won’t be streaming on Netflix, contrary to initial expectations. If You Wish Upon Me is one of the most eagerly awaited new releases of the year and stars Ji Chang Wook. From the terrestrial television network KBS2, the upcoming South Korean drama series Tell Me Your Wish will be available on Netflix. Kim Yong An, who also helmed The Cursed and Love Cells, is in charge of directing the television show. Fans of K-dramas on Netflix will recognise many of the characters in the series. Due to his starring performances in Lovestruck in the City and The Sound of Magic, Ji Chang Wook has appeared twice on Netflix in the past few of years.

Run On, a well-liked tvN drama, featured Choi Soo Young in a pivotal role as Seo Dan Ah. Additionally, the actress made a cameo in two episodes of Move to Heaven. Sung Dong-Il has been in a number of Netflix Originals, but Tell Me Your Wish is the first time he had a major part. He previously made cameos in Chief of Staff 2, Prison Playbook, and Hospital Playlist during both of their seasons. The actor has also appeared in Sisyphus: The Myth and Live in supporting parts. What to expect from the 16 episodes of the series is as follows:

“Yoon Gyeo Rye spent time in jail and resided at an orphanage. He battles to lead a typical existence. He works as a hospice volunteer. He collaborates with Seo Yeon Joo, a nurse, and volunteer team leader Kang Tae Sik there.

Why is If You Wish Upon Me not available on Netflix?

A placeholder release date of August 2022 was posted to MyDramaList earlier this year, which also noted that the drama would be available abroad on Netflix. We immediately reported this information, and since then, an A+E Korea spokesperson has emphasised that Netflix would not air the programme in any location. This shouldn’t be too shocking considering that Netflix has only ever purchased Korean television programmes from companies like tvN, Studio Dragon, and JTBC. Instead, Rakuten’s Viki holds the global rights, and the show is streamed there in countries including the US and the UK.
