Later that year, Sahar was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison under Iran’s strict blasphemy laws. The 21-year-old is now out of prison and recently revealed her true colors in a new interview.

Sahar was arrested in October 2019 on corruption and blasphemy charges and sentenced to 10 years in prison. A report in The Independent quotes activist Masih Alinejad as saying he was finally released after just 14 months in prison.
