Ruso brothers confirm a sequel

Only a few weeks after Netflix’s The Gray Man debuted, the film’s creators, the Russo Brothers, revealed that a sequel and a spin-off are in the works. Dhanush has now said that the sequel will have a cameo from his character Avik San, also known as The Lone Wolf.

The Russo Brothers, who made The Gray Man for Netflix, disclosed that a sequel and a spin-off are in the works just a few weeks after the movie’s release.

As of late, Dhanush has confirmed that his character Avik San, better known as The Lone Wolf, will make an appearance in the sequel. When Six is in the wind around the end of The Gray Man, Avik unexpectedly vanishes. Denny Carmichael (Regé-Jean Page), the formerly dishonest CIA agent who collaborated with the deceased psychotic mercenary Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans) to murder Six, is not seen to face any repercussions. Is the person Avik is referencing in the video Carmichael? If so, Avik and CIA operative Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) may soon get together as well.

Since the Russo Brothers announced the character’s return in an interview with Insider, the revelation that Dhanush will appear in the sequel may not come as a surprise. “We have the good fortune of using Dhanush. We weren’t interested in having him play a one-off character who only appears in the movie to be defeated by the lead actor. He possesses the same aptitude and tenacity as Ryan Gosling does in the film. He has a story that will eventually allow him to return to the story as his own hero.

This has increased rumours that Avik San is the focus of the spin-off that is now under development.

Dhanush not overpowered by the gray man

“We wanted to make that character the centre of a lot of stress” (Avik). He is not overpowered by the Gray Man. Dhanush makes the decision to handle the problem on his own. This is the persona that The Gray Man gave us the best glimpse of. We are aware of that about him. Moving forward, he’s extremely pregnant for us,” the filmmakers declared.

The future sequel’s script will be written by The Gray Man co-writer Stephen McFeely, while Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will write the screenplay for the spin-off movie. The sequel will be produced by The Russos, AGBO’s Mike Larocca, Joe Roth, and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum Films.

The project’s other specifics are currently kept a secret.
