Harry Styles switched to Vans on Monday, October 24 to his concert, despite wearing Adidas footwear for his other shows on the tour. Fans believe this was a result of Adidas’ affiliation with Kanye West. For the majority of this tour, Harry has worn Adidas x Gucci Gazelle sneakers, but by switching it up, he sent a strong statement to the brand. The outfit was chosen before Adidas decided to sever its relationship with Kanye West as a result of the rapper’s antisemitic remarks on social media.

Despite his antisemitic sentiments, Kanye had previously said that Adidas would “never” fire him; nonetheless, the company disproved him on October 25. Following their observation of Harry’s slight outfit change, fans took to social media. Many commended and congratulated him for speaking out against a corporation that appeared to be supporting Kanye, who in his tweets earlier this month threatened that he would go “death con 3 on the Jews,” among other horrifying statements. Adidas, however, made their decision to stop working with Kanye official on October 25.

Harry Styles accessorised his tan leather pants and a blue-and-red ice cream cone T-shirt for the show at the Kia Forum with a pair of red Vans, as he almost always does. Harry Styles typically wears eye-catching ensembles to his concerts with Adidas x Gucci Gazelle shoes. Observant fans have seen the small change in his footwear brand preference as a result of concertgoers sharing recordings from the event.

Kanye tweeted his hateful remarks at the beginning of October, but on October 22 when antisemitic hate was displayed on banners above the 405 highway in Los Angeles, his remarks once again grabbed headlines. By putting up a placard that stated, “Kanye was right about the Jews,” the people who hung the banners showed their public support for Kanye. This prompted a significant discussion on social media, and several celebrities joined in to provide their support to their Jewish friends and the Jewish people. Additionally, it sparked the overwhelming demand that Adidas drop Kanye.
