Disney+ streaming service will release The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special On November 25. Immediately following Thanksgiving and before the craziness of Christmas in December, this brand-new MCU adventure is scheduled to make its debut. This GotG entry debuts not too long after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which hits theatres on November 11. According to reports, the Holiday Special will serve as a bridge between Guardians of the Galaxy Vols. 2 and 3, giving fans crucial information they will need before seeing the third and concluding instalment of Gunn’s trilogy, which will be released in theatres in May 2023.

The Guardians set out in November to bring their fearless leader some holiday cheer. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who is still grieving over the tragic loss of his outlaw partner in international crime-fighting, Gamora (Zo Saldaa), is still in mourning. Kraglin (Sean Gunn) and company debate the downcast state Star-Lord has been in and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) suggests they find the most ideal gift to cheer him up after hearing through the human grapevine that Christmas is getting close. The best human gift for human Star-Lord must undoubtedly be stashed away on Earth, thousands of light-years away, and waiting for them to wrap it.

The special was a joy to work on, according to James Gunn, who also claimed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might be his favourite movie while he was at Comic-Con. He said, “Vol 3 was very difficult for a billion reasons, beginning with its size and complexity. It might be my favorite movie but it probably wasn’t my favorite shooting experience, other than the love I have for the whole team.”

And with that, Gunn encourages Marvel fans to strap in and go on an exciting trip with Mantis and Drax to find Kevin Bacon in time to put him under Star-Christmas Lord’s tree. Along them them will be Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket. The writer and director of The Holiday Special have also hinted at a surprise cameo for one of the greatest MCU characters of all time.
