Starz revealed today that P-Valley, a popular drama series, has been renewed for a third season. Given that the show’s first two seasons had seen the streamer’s highest-ever audience statistics, this is not entirely unexpected. The next third season will consist of 10 one-hour episodes, similar to the second season, which recently concluded in August.

The highlight of P-Valley is the frequently larger-than-life characters associated with the titular tiny strip club that might, the Pynk, which runs in the fictitious town of Chucalissa in the remote Mississippi Delta. The show has been dubbed “where trap music meets cinema noir and dares to examine what happens when small-town folk dream beyond the bounds of their constricted circumstances” and tells the “story of survival, chosen family, soulmates, politics, love, and death.”

P-Valley has a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating in its first season, which made it an instant sensation when it debuted on Starz in July 2020. Nicco Annan, Elarica Johnson, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, J. Alphonse Nicholson Parker Sawyers, Harriett D. Foy, Dan J. Johnson and Morocco Omari are some of the actors who appear in P-Valley Season 2. Megan Thee Stallion, a rapper, made a much-anticipated guest appearance in the second season. With Johnson’s portrayal of the main character Hailey leaving the show at the end of the second season, the third season is guaranteed to feature some new characters.

Along with Dante Di Loreto, show’s creator Karori Hall also acts as the show’s showrunner and executive producer for Lionsgate TV. The third season’s premiere date has not yet been announced by Starz, but based on the aforementioned statement by showrunner Hall, it may be some time before the show returns. But you can currently watch seasons one and two on Starz.
