Hogestyn joined Days of Our Lives in 1986 and played John Black in over 4,200 episodes, creating a lasting legacy. His onscreen romance with Deidre Hall’s Marlena Evans was a fan favorite, earning them a Soap Opera Digest Award for Favorite Couple in 2005. His contributions to the show were profound, with Executive Producer Ken Corday stating that his impact would forever remain unmatched.
