Dasha Nekrasova Dropped by Agency and Film After Podcast Fallout with Nick Fuentes

Actress Dasha Nekrasova, known for her role in Succession and the A24 film Materialists, is facing serious career repercussions. Her talent agency, Gersh, has terminated her contract, and she’s been removed from an upcoming movie called Iconoclast. The fallout comes after a resurfaced podcast episode in which she interviewed Nick Fuentes, a figure widely associated with far-right extremist views.

The episode in question appeared on her podcast Red Scare, which she co-hosts with Anna Khachiyan. Titled “Fuentanyl OD – Nick Fuentes x Red Scare”, the 2.5-hour conversation touched on incendiary topics such as immigration, the “Groyper army,” and contentious takes on Jewish people. The original YouTube upload garnered over 220,000 views before it was later deleted.

Nick Fuentes is a highly controversial figure — often characterized by critics as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier. His ideologies have drawn significant condemnation, and his platforming through the podcast interview placed Nekrasova under intense scrutiny.

Gersh’s decision to part ways with Nekrasova comes amid rising backlash from within the entertainment community. According to reports, her proposed role in Iconoclast — an upcoming thriller directed by Gabriel Basso — was pulled before she had even finalized a contract.

For Nekrasova, this represents a major professional setback. She has previously worked in high-profile projects, including her Succession role and the film Materialists. Her podcast, Red Scare, is known for its unfiltered cultural criticism. But this particular episode has triggered a reckoning: associations with Fuentes and the content of their discussion are now being held against her in a very public way.

So far, Nekrasova has not issued a public statement addressing the removals.

Why It Matters

  1. Industry Accountability: Nekrasova’s firing signals how quickly Hollywood agencies and studios may distance themselves when public figures engage with extremist voices.
  2. Free Speech vs. Platforming: The controversy raises tough questions about the limits of discourse — especially when media personalities give platforms to individuals like Fuentes.
  3. Reputation Risk: For actors and creators, podcast appearances are part of their personal brand — but they can carry serious professional risks if associated with extremist ideologies.
