Having transitioned to share the title of joint CEO with Craig Berens in August, October marked Wakefield?s chief of the not-for-profit kids and younger people?s charity. After a quarter of a century of service, Nottinghamshire YMCA?s joint CEO Will Wakefield has introduced he is retiring to pave the way for the regional charity?s next chapter. From November, Craig Berens will formally be CEO to lead Nottinghamshire YMCA
?My selection to retire has been long in the making,? stated Wakefield, who first took up the CEO mantle at the charity in 1995. ?With Nottinghamshire YMCA attaining a good sized milestone by way of celebrating its anniversary next year, I sense that now is the proper time to step lower back and assist our YMCA pass ahead by empowering interesting new management to take our charity into the post-COVID world. I have self confidence that Craig Berens will steer the action in a route of values-driven electricity for the advantage of all in his new and very deserved as CEO of Nottinghamshire YMCA.?

He hopes to honour this legacy through empowering transformational tasks such as their new Community and Village in Newark, the evolution of Malt Cross into a thriving local hub turning in coaching possibilities for NEET persons and the enlargement of offerings in East Riding of Yorkshire to guide people.
