Former Keller Williams CEO Exonerated of Sexual Misconduct Allegations

John Davis, the former CEO of Keller Williams Realty Inc., has been cleared of sexual misconduct allegations made against him in 2022 by one of the residential real estate giant’s former franchise owners.

In 2022, Inga Dow, a longtime Keller Williams franchisee in Dallas-Fort Worth, filed a lawsuit against the company, Davis, and company founder Gary Keller. The lawsuit alleged nearly two decades of sexual misconduct and harassment by Davis dating back to 1998. Davis vehemently denied these allegations.

Following the lawsuit, Davis countersued Dow, Keller, former company president Josh Team, and Keller Williams for $300 million. He claimed that Dow’s accusations against him were fabricated and aimed at forcing the sale of her businesses for more than they were worth, after she had unsuccessfully attempted to sell them. Although Davis has dismissed his claims against Dow, he has not dropped the lawsuit.

In a significant turn of events, Dow retracted the assertions she made against Davis in late November. In an affidavit, she stated, “In the lawsuit, I made statements about Mr. Davis that wrongly accused him of misconduct including harassment, sexual assault, and rape. I fully retract these statements and apologize to Mr. Davis.”

Despite being cleared of the sexual misconduct allegations, Davis is still pursuing legal action against the company, Keller, Team, and others. He has brought forth separate claims of racketeering, antitrust violations, and embezzlement.

Davis, who left Keller Williams Realty Inc. in 2019, continues to seek justice and vindication in the ongoing legal proceedings.
