Walt Disney and Warner Bros Discovery are launching a new bundle streaming service, comprised of Disney+, Hulu, and Max content

Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced a groundbreaking collaboration to introduce a bundled streaming service in the United States, merging the offerings of Disney+, Hulu, and Max. While specific pricing details have not yet been disclosed, customers will have the flexibility to sign up for the combined programming on each platform individually, with the option to choose between ad-free or ad-supported formats. This highly anticipated venture is set to launch in the summer, with further official information expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Disney+, Disney’s flagship streaming platform, boasts an extensive catalog of beloved films and series from prestigious studios such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. From timeless classics to cutting-edge original content, including iconic titles like The Simpsons, Disney+ has quickly established itself as a go-to destination for entertainment lovers of all ages.

Complementing Disney+ is Hulu, a comprehensive streaming service offering a diverse range of live and on-demand programming. With access to content from various US broadcasting networks, Hulu provides subscribers with an unparalleled streaming experience, catering to a wide spectrum of interests and preferences.

Max, a prominent offering from Warner Bros. Discovery, enhances the streaming landscape with its rich array of family-friendly content. From acclaimed HBO Originals and beloved franchises like Harry Potter to beloved programming from Cartoon Network and the Discovery Channel, Max offers something for every member of the family to enjoy.

The decision to introduce this bundled option comes amid a significant shift away from traditional linear TV towards streaming services. With the market inundated with a plethora of streaming platforms, companies like Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are keen to attract more subscribers while navigating the challenges of consumer affordability in a highly competitive market.

JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games at Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed confidence in the value proposition of the new offering, stating, “This new offering delivers for consumers the greatest collection of entertainment for the best value in streaming, and will help drive incremental subscribers and much stronger retention.”

Furthermore, Disney recently announced plans to integrate an ESPN tile into Disney+ ahead of the launch of a standalone streaming service for the sports broadcast giant. Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed during the company’s Q2 earnings call that the ESPN tile will provide access to “select live games” and additional programming on Disney+. The rollout is expected to be completed by the end of the year for all US subscribers, with the standalone ESPN streaming service slated to launch in late 2025.

By joining forces, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are poised to revolutionize the streaming landscape, offering consumers an unparalleled entertainment experience while driving subscriber growth for both companies.
