Is there delay in The Flash?

Flash entering the Speed Force in Zack Snyder Justice Leage

The Flash is a reboot of the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the fourteenth film in the DC Extended Universe, and it is produced by DC Films, Double Dream, and The Disco Factory, with Warner Bros. Pictures handling distribution (DCEU). Ezra Miller stars opposite Ron Livingston, Michael Keaton, Kiersey Clemons, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Sasha Calle, and Ben Affleck in the film directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Christina Hodson. Barry goes back in time to prevent his mother’s murder in the film, but this has unexpected repercussions.

The development of a Flash film began in the late 1980s, and many writers and directors worked on it until 2014. The film was then remade as part of the DCEU, with Miller starring as the titular character. Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and the John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein combo all left the project due to creative disputes in the ensuing years. Pre-production for the film began in January 2020, with Muschietti and Hodson joining in July 2019. The film is based on the DC Comics tale Flashpoint, and it stars both Affleck and Keaton as Batman. From April to October 2021, the film was shot on location in the United Kingdom and at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden.
