Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia recently shared how her experience at the 2024 Golden Globes was overshadowed by an alleged clash with her ex-boyfriend, country music star Zach Bryan. In a revealing episode of the BFFs podcast, LaPaglia opened up about their relationship, recounting incidents of alleged emotional manipulation and control, and describing her distress after Bryan reportedly criticized her attire and social media presence.

LaPaglia recalled Bryan’s reaction to her Golden Globes outfit, saying, “That was the first time he really tried to control what I wore and what I posted.” According to her, after she posted photos from the event, Bryan expressed disapproval, telling her he didn’t want to date someone who "presents themselves that way" and then unfollowed her and others in her circle. “When I flew home…he ruined my night,” LaPaglia added, saying that Bryan’s behavior turned a joyful evening into a painful memory.

In her candid recounting, LaPaglia said she felt Bryan had a pattern of undermining her joy in personal achievements, sharing that he allegedly ruined “anything good I did for me.” She claimed he had a way of twisting her self-image, making her feel she had to change to fit his preferences, even to the point of telling her which Instagram posts to delete. The tension reportedly came to a head when Bryan shared a picture of her at the Golden Globes on his own Instagram Story, calling her “beautiful” while privately expressing disdain for her outfit. “It was just such a tug of war with my emotions,” LaPaglia said, reflecting on the confusing and emotionally charged relationship.
