On April Star Wars celebration day 2023, three new movie announcements made fans excited for the future of Star Wars Franchise.
The movies we’re talking about here are actually set in completely different time periods, thousands of years apart. One of them is called The Jedi Order Movie, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and the other one is called The Ancient Jedi Movie, directed by James Mangold.
Recently, Kathleen Kennedy, the President of Lucasfilm, had an interview with GamesRadar+ where she talked about the connection between these two movies. She mentioned that James Mangold was immediately drawn to the idea of the connection. According to Kennedy, the movies will complement each other nicely because they’ll help us understand how everything started and what lies ahead for Rey, the main character in the recent Star Wars trilogy.
Kennedy explained that exploring the origins of the Jedi will be at the heart of creating the new Jedi Order. She thinks it would be really cool for us to get a real sense of where it all began with the dawn of the Jedi. So, it seems like both movies will shed some light on important aspects of the Star Wars universe.
