Billie Eilish has done it again. The Grammy-winning artist unveiled the ethereal and eerie music video for her latest single, “Birds of a Feather,” on September 27, 2024. The video, directed by Zamiri, sees Eilish levitating through an empty, ghostly office space, embodying the song’s haunting vibe.

The video opens with the pop star lounging in a tilted chair, but the calmness soon turns supernatural. Throughout the clip, Eilish is dragged across the floor and eventually lifted into the air by an invisible force. She sings about intense love, with lyrics like, “I’ll love you ’til the day that I die,” capturing the emotional weight of the track.

The minimalistic setting of the empty office amplifies the isolation and vulnerability she expresses in the song. As her body floats effortlessly through the space, viewers are pulled into the ethereal world of “Birds of a Feather.”

Earlier this month, Eilish shared an interesting backstory to the song during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The singer revealed that she and her brother Finneas worked on an early version of the track in the back of an SUV while on tour in Brazil. “It’s fun because it’s so casual and normal,” she shared, emphasizing how they often create music in unconventional spaces. She also explained how the song has gone through numerous versions before landing on the final cut.

“Birds of a Feather” is one of the standout tracks from Eilish’s latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which has already garnered critical acclaim for its raw emotion and creative soundscapes. Fans are excited to see how the rest of the album will unfold as Eilish embarks on her Hit Me Hard and Soft World Tour, which kicks off on September 29 in Québec, Canada.

With her latest visual release, Billie Eilish continues to push creative boundaries and invite listeners into her hauntingly beautiful world. Fans can expect even more of this artistic flair as her highly anticipated tour rolls out across North America this fall.
