Bill Maher Delivers Stern Message to Democrats After Election Defeat: ‘Look in the Mirror’
Bill Maher began his first monologue after the election with a scathing message aimed at those still grappling with Kamala Harris' loss. He mocked the situation with a pointed "look in the mirror" message for the "losers," while taking credit for his earlier prediction that Harris would lose. Maher reiterated his longstanding criticism of what he perceives as the country's disillusionment with "anti-common sense woke bulls–t," further asserting that the country had “had enough” of such ideologies.
He acknowledged that though he didn’t vote for the winner, he felt unfazed by the outcome, humorously noting that the world still felt normal to him—birds were singing and his gardener was off to Mexico. He also poked fun at former President Donald Trump’s mass deportation threats, quipping about Trump’s preparations, referencing the “holes in the wall” as part of his plan.
Maher also took jabs at the voting patterns of white women, pointing out how Trump managed to secure 52% of their votes, mocking the liberal media's portrayal of women’s anger towards Trump. He made a controversial comment about women wanting “bacon” more than they were offended by Trump, suggesting they were more pragmatic than the media portrayed.
Additionally, Maher ridiculed Harris’s political prospects post-election, humorously stating that on election night, she had called McDonald's to see if she could get her old job back. His commentary painted a picture of disappointment and disillusionment for the Democratic side, all while reflecting on the outcome as something he had predicted and now, as he said, he’d be waiting to see what the winners would do next.
