Back in Action: An Action-packed Return to Espionage Starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz

Having spent twelve years living a quiet family life after dangerous careers as CIA operatives, former spys Emily (Cameron Diaz) and Matt (Jamie Foxx) feel they have finally escaped the world of espionage for good. Set in the hands of  director  Seth Gordon, however, for these two former spys, it is to find themselves catapulted back into their old lives when they see their cover blown open,  which ignites an energetic and adrenaline-pumping series of suspense events. With a riveting mix of hard-hitting action and strong familial ties, "Back in Action" heralds Cameron Diaz's long-awaited return to the big screen alongside Jamie Foxx, giving audiences an electrifying on-screen combination that is at once familiar yet fresh.

Back in Action recounts the story of Emily and Matt, who ten years ago  resigned from being CIA spies to merely raise their two children. But their life in  the suburbs is quiet no more when their covert past becomes known. Now a normal family must run for their lives, again into the world of espionage and deception. The author balances quite well between action and emotional depth as Emily and Matt throw in protecting their child against powerful enemies of the past. Casting in "Back in Action" is excellent, as Jamie Foxx brings a good mix of charm and intensit  with moments of human humor through his role as Matt.

Jamie Foxx has some screen chemistry going on with Cameron Diaz-a familiar pairing after their previous collaboration in "Annie"-adding a level of authenticity to the complicated relationship this couple has. Cameron Diaz as Emily is the strong and intelligent former agent who had both aspects of being an affectionate mother. Coming out of retirement to act after a long absence simply  makes her starring role in this very particular and customized role an even more exciting opportunity for fans who have been missing her on screen.

A truly astounding supporting cast comes in and shakes up the storyline with interesting conflicts and alliances, among other tensions. Kyle Chandler stars as a former CIA associate with his own agenda, while Glenn Close  introduces  the powerful figure set over the agency, establishing potential points of conflict and alliances. Improvisational newcomers to the show Andrew Scott and Jamie Demetriou bring fresh dynamics as new adversaries and allies, and young actors McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson play Emily and Matt's children whose lives are turned inside out by their parents' secret lives. Director Seth Gordon, known from his works on "Horrible Bosses" and "Baywatch", is  complemented  with utmost sense of timing and proper handling of incorporating action and humor  well into the film. In this sense, he ensures the actions unfolded in the film are both visually stunning as well as emotionally charged, thus creating a greater urgency to leave audiences at the edge of their seats. Exposed in the film will be a string of many exciting stunts, the plot of choreographed fight coupled with a gripping narrative that touches on the themes of loyalty and sacrifice.

More than just an action film, "Back in Action" is an action-filled thriller that also informs people how far they are willing to go for those who matter much to their lives. Booming plot, experienced cast, and great performances make the movie  look thrilling for laughs and heartfelt moments long after the finishing  credits. Fans of action-thrilled spy films and nostalgic people who feel about Diaz's energetic appearance on screen will enjoy this fast-paced movie.
