“I was puking; I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever,” Schumer recalled in her video. She initially struggled with nausea and sickness, leading her to stop using the medication temporarily.

Despite her previous struggles, Schumer decided to give the medication another shot—this time combining it with other treatments. She noted that this approach has significantly improved her overall well-being.
“My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, and I have more energy,” she explained. Schumer also jokingly hinted that her libido had increased, saying, “I want to ‘get down’ more, if you know what I mean.”
Mounjaro vs. Wegovy: Finding the Right Fit
Schumer mentioned that while Wegovy initially caused her issues, switching to another medication, Mounjaro, has been a much better experience for her.
“So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great,” she shared.

One of the biggest issues with weight loss drugs is affordability. Schumer pointed out that these medications are often not covered by insurance unless the patient has diabetes or severe obesity.
“They don’t cover it unless you’re diabetic or morbidly obese—which people think I am,” she joked.
