Arnold Schwarzenegger will feature in his first scripted television series, Fubar or Utap, which will premiere in 2020.

According to Deadline, competition for the property was fierce, but Netflix finally won the bidding war.

The revelation is quite interesting because Schwarzenegger has minimal experience in television and has never played a prominent role in a series.

The herculean Austrian has been in dozens of films over the last five decades, but his first significant TV role will be on Netflix.

Schwarzenegger’s choice as the series’ lead builds on his prior work with Skydance, having previously played the T-800 in Terminator: Genisys and Terminator: Dark Fate.

The new series’ two principal production firms are Skydance Television and Blackjack Films Inc.

In 2020, the company collaborated with Denver and Delilah Films on The Old Guard, and with Bay Films on 6 Underground, one of Netflix’s most expensive productions to date.

A father and daughter have both been CIA agents for many years, but they have both kept this fact a secret from the other, making their entire relationship a colossal deception.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and actress Monica Barbaro were the only two cast members announced in the exceedingly early announcement.

Following that, filming will take place in Toronto, Canada. According to production listings obtained by What’s on Netflix, filming is expected to begin on May 2nd, 2022
