The Residence will be Shondaland’s third major Netflix Original title. Here’s the most recent information about the impending Netflix adaptation. 

As previously stated, Netflix announced in July 2018 that it had acquired the rights to the Kate Anderson Brower novel. 

It announced that the series adaption would begin in March 2022. 

Paul William Davies, a former attorney turned screenwriter, will serve as the series’ writer and showrunner.  

while Shondaland is also under an exclusive arrangement that was renewed when it was originally signed in 2018.

No cast members for Netflix’s The Residence have been revealed as of September 2022.  

The script for Netflix’s The Residence is currently being written and edited, with pre-production to follow.  

Currently, it is anticipated that the series will begin production in Q1 2023 and end in Q3 2023.
