Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy. 

It will be the third instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).  

In November 2014, James Gunn revealed that he has preliminary ideas for a third film in the series, and in April 2017, he announced his return to write and direct the picture.  

. Gunn’s comeback was announced in March 2019, with production restarting after he finished filming The Suicide Squad (2021) and its spin-off series Peacemaker (2022). 

Filming in Atlanta, Georgia, began in November 2021 and ended in early May 2022. 

“The Thor: Love and Thunder” is also including the cameo of “Guardians of The Galaxy”.  

Thor in-order to find his fate, makes a step into the journey of the Guardians of the Galaxy which might even be connecting to the Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 

In April 2017, Gunn felt the music for the film would be different from what was used for the first two films’ soundtracks, Awesome Mix Vol. 

The next month, he added that he was “panicking” about the soundtrack and had to make some “pretty specific choices” shortly due to the wider range of available music for the story.  

All of the songs for the film had been selected by the following month the songs are not modern and come from Quill’s Zune that he received at the end of Vol. 2
