NewsBHC Chicken Plans to Expand with 8 New Outlets in the U.S. this Year

Bhc Chicken, South Korea’s top-selling chicken franchise, has set its sights on expanding its presence in the lucrative American market. With plans to open eight new stores in the United States this year, Bhc Chicken is strategically positioning itself to capitalize on the growing demand for its delicious offerings beyond its home country.

The recent opening of a Bhc Chicken outlet in San Diego marks the beginning of this expansion endeavor. This milestone follows the successful launch of the brand’s first U.S. store in Los Angeles back in February of last year. These strategic locations are chosen to tap into key urban centers with diverse consumer demographics, aiming to attract both local residents and tourists alike.

Beyond the borders of South Korea, Bhc Chicken has already established a significant international presence, with a total of 15 outlets operating worldwide. In addition to its U.S. locations, Bhc Chicken boasts a presence in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. This global expansion underscores the brand’s appeal and recognition on the international stage, solidifying its position as a leading player in the global fast-food industry.

Under the umbrella of Bhc Group, the parent company of Bhc Chicken, a diverse portfolio of restaurant brands is managed. Alongside the renowned fried chicken franchise, Bhc Chicken, the group oversees the operations of Changgo 43, a popular Korean barbecue franchise, and Outback Steakhouse, an iconic American-style steakhouse chain. This diverse range of offerings allows Bhc Group to cater to various culinary preferences and consumer tastes, ensuring a broad appeal across different market segments.

Moreover, Bhc Group holds exclusive operating rights for Super Duper Burgers, a well-known burger chain based in San Francisco. With three Super Duper Burgers stores already operating in South Korea, the brand has successfully introduced American-style burgers to Korean consumers, further diversifying its restaurant portfolio and expanding its market reach.

In terms of financial performance, Bhc Chicken reported robust sales of 535.6 billion won (equivalent to approximately US$387.6 million) in 2023, representing a noteworthy 5.5 percent increase compared to the previous year. This upward trajectory in sales underscores the brand’s strong market position and sustained growth trajectory, both domestically and internationally.

With its expansion into the United States and continued success in global markets, Bhc Chicken remains committed to delivering high-quality, flavorful dining experiences to customers worldwide. As the brand continues to grow and evolve, it continues to uphold its reputation as a beloved destination for delicious chicken dishes and innovative culinary offerings.
