Singer Cat Janice passes away from sarcoma cancer after writing a final song for her son

The singer Cat Janice passed away. She gained notoriety after dedicating her final song to her kid. The 31-year-old was fighting cancer of the sarcoma.

Her family revealed the news of her passing in an Instagram post.

The message says, "This morning, peacefully entering the light and love of her heavenly creator, Catherine entered from her childhood home, surrounded by her loving family."

It adds, “We are eternally thankful for the outpouring of love that Catherine and our family have received over the past few months. Cat saw her music go places she never expected and rests in the peace of knowing that she will continue to provide for her son through her music. This would not have been possible without all of you.”

Last month, Janice hinted about a song on TikTok, declaring that after a challenging fight, "cancer has won."

She asked her followers to pre-save her last song, adding that any sales will benefit her 7-year-old son.

“I’m crawling to my radiation so I can buy myself some time so I can see this song released,” she wrote in another TikTok update days before the release.

Janice's single "Dance You Outta My Head," which was released on January 19, peaked at No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50.

After that, it peaked at number 10 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs list of Billboard. On Spotify, the song has been listened to over 12.8 million times globally.
