Jennifer Lopez Talks About Calling Off Her 2003 Wedding With Ben Affleck
Fans of Jennifer Lopez are well aware of her protracted and tumultuous romantic history prior to her 2022 marriage to Ben Affleck.
However, this is not the singer-actor pair's first love relationship; they dated from 2002 to 2004.
However, JLo and Affleck called it quits on their 2003 nuptials, splitting up in 2004.
In the recently released film This is Me... Now: A Love Story, Jennifer Lopez, who has shared her romantic journey with the public, talked candidly about why her previous romance with Ben Affleck did not work out.
The singer said that even though they called off their wedding in 2003, they remained together for a few months until splitting up in 2004 in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1.
“Because what it did was it casted doubt in me, and both of us, about what our relationship was and where it was going, I think,” she said.
Lopez also said that, “I knew in my heart that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life, I knew that. But it didn't feel like we were going to make it. And so, it scared me.”
Despite the fact that she was in her early 30s and he was in his late 20s, Lo highlighted how inexperienced they both felt about their love for one another.
They "just weren't there yet," she added, despite their intense love for one another at the time. Both of them moved on to various relationships after their breakup.
