Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Gets a Disappointing Update

Those who are passionate about Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV+ are waiting impatiently for word on the show's second season renewal.

Star of the show Anna Sawai recently voiced her doubts regarding the show's survival, echoing the viewers' lack of clear information.

Since the series' thrilling premiere in November 2023, fans have been eagerly awaiting the developments of the Monsterverse.

Sawai stated her own interest in the show's future in an interview with Screen Rant. Many of the viewers who have been left in suspense since the show's premiere can relate to this uncertainty.

Sawai stated: "I talk to Kiersey [Clemons] and Ren [Watabe] all the time, and we still don't know! I'm asking the same question to the producers and the showrunner, Chris Black, and so I would like to know if you find out."

Even without a definite second season, there is hope because of the show's original success.

After its premiere, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters swiftly ascended to the top of Apple TV+'s first-season drama list.

Speaking in January 2024, showrunner Chris Black said the show had "done very well" on the platform and he was hopeful it will be renewed.

Even though the viewership figures are unknown, Black's remarks imply that a sizable audience watched the series every week in anticipation of monster-filled adventures.
