Did Dakota Johnson Just Name Taylor Swift America's Most Powerful Person?

After nine years, the Wounds actress is returning on Saturday Night Live to host a brand-new show. Following the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey, she hosted it for the first time in 2015.

She indirectly acknowledged Taylor Swift in particular. She used a lot of irony and anecdotes from her previous SNL performance in her opening monologue.

The 34-year-old actress from Persuasion recalled her 40th season SNL stage debut. The crowd surrounded the Madame Web actress.

Using an image of herself from the same stage in 2015, she opened the show by stating, "Look at this group of people: Sarah Palin, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and look who's exactly behind me."

There was Donald Trump, and the camera focused on him. It was significant because, around two years later, he went on to win the 2016 election.

"It's just crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America," the Black Mass actress added during the commentary.

At that moment, the camera switched to pop phenomenon Taylor Swift, making audiences laugh harder.
