The dark comedy movie "Americana" is set to premiere at the SXSW event, directed by Tony Tost

The movie centers on a group of individuals searching for a Lakota Native American artifact, the Ghost Shirt 

The Ghost Shirt has ties to the complex history of the American West and became famous for its involvement in the Battle of Wounded Knee 

The film features Marcus RedThunder, a Native American activist who provided guidance on previous works such as Longmire and Hostiles, as a consultant 

The cast includes Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Eric Dane, Zahn McClarnon, and Halsey, among others 

The technical elements are handled by industry professionals such as cinematographer Nigel Bluck, production designer Russell Barnes, and costume designer Jillian Bundrick 

Editor Peter McNulty and composer David Fleming are also part of the team 

The film was produced by Page Fifty-Four Pictures in collaboration with Bron Studios and Creative Wealth Media 

Tony Tost is directing the movie based on his own screenplay 

The film aims to present a modern take on rural America that respects and revises Western myths
