Junior Payton Sandfort delivered a stellar performance, co-leading the Hawkeyes in scoring with 21 points. Trailing by 20 points with 15 minutes remaining, Iowa mounted an impressive comeback reminiscent of their January 5th, 2023, matchup against Indiana, where they overcame a 21-point deficit.
In the second half, the Hawkeyes showcased their offensive prowess, shooting 17-of-29 from the field and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Additionally, their accuracy from the free-throw line proved crucial, as they converted 15-of-17 attempts to seal the victory.
