According to Deadline, The Threesome will now be led by Logan Lerman and Phoebe Dynevor, the breakthrough star of Bridgerton. The movie hasn’t been bought yet, but it only recently hit the market and is already generating interest. While Dynevor has previously acted in TV shows, she is most recognised for playing Daphne Bridgerton in the wildly successful Bridgerton series on Netflix. Daphne was debuted in the first season of the show and remained its major character all through that season.
A “high-concept, character-driven comedy in the manner of Knocked Up” is how The Threesome is characterised. It centres on a young man whose crush prompts him to make the hasty and unexpected decision to join a threesome. He initially believes the trio to be a dream come true. When reality sets in, he and the other two parties involved must take responsibility for the results, even if it means sacrificing their initial plans for their lives.
The fact that Bridgerton is a romance-focused series and that Dynevor is a part of The Threesome is encouraging for the next movie. The Perks of Being a Wallflower and the 2010 adaption of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief are two notable works that Lerman is well recognised for. His most recent appearance was in the second season of the Prime Video series Hunters.
Chad Hartigan will direct The Threesome from a script by Ethan Ogilby. Producing is done by Star Thrower Entertainment. This new project is comparable to a few other movies that Hartigan has directed. Although the stakes differ for each, the couples in his feature films Little Fish and Luke and Brie Are on a First Date both encounter some form of love obstacle in their relationships.
The action-adventure Bullet Train and the second season of Lerman’s popular Prime Video series Hunters are among the projects he has coming up in addition to The Threesome. His subsequent appearance will be in the August 5 film Bullet Train, starring Brad Pitt. Among other things, other efforts include the movies Indignation and Fury. Dynevor, on the other hand, recently wrapped up the second season of Netflix’s Bridgerton, where she established herself as a genuine star, and she will soon appear in Fair Play from MRC Films.
