Emily Blunt Reveals What She Told Ryan Gosling on Plane After 2024 Oscars

EntertainmentEmily Blunt Reveals What She Told Ryan Gosling on Plane After 2024 Oscars

The 2024 Oscars may have brought about unexpected camaraderie between Hollywood stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, but it was a plane ride after the ceremony that allowed Blunt to express her admiration for Gosling’s memorable Barbie performance.

Just two days after their playful on-stage banter at the Oscars, Gosling and Blunt reunited at the SXSW film festival in Austin, Texas, for the premiere of their upcoming movie, “The Fall Guy.” The red carpet event provided the perfect opportunity for Blunt to share her thoughts on Gosling’s remarkable performance.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Blunt couldn’t help but shower praise on Gosling’s humility and talent. “He’s so humble and brushes off any compliments,” she revealed, before recounting her conversation with him during their flight to Texas. “I just need you to know, it was just utterly amazing,” she confessed to Gosling.

Blunt further lauded Gosling’s bravery and skill, acknowledging that his portrayal of Barbie at the Oscars was a feat few could have pulled off. “I don’t know if anyone could have done what he did,” she remarked, emphasizing the electric atmosphere Gosling’s performance created in the room.

For his part, Gosling expressed gratitude for the positive reception of his performance and reflected on the joyous atmosphere at the Oscars. “The Barbie party had to come to an end,” he remarked with a smile. “There was time for one last song. I tried to end it on a high note that I could barely hit.”

Their reconciliation at the Oscars was a fitting end to the “Barbenheimer” rivalry that had garnered attention online. Taking to the stage together, Gosling and Blunt playfully addressed the friendly competition between their respective films, “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer.” However, as Blunt pointed out, the success of “Oppenheimer” during award season had certainly tipped the scales in her favor.

As Gosling and Blunt continue to captivate audiences with their on-screen chemistry, their playful rapport off-screen serves as a testament to the enduring camaraderie and mutual respect shared among Hollywood’s elite. With “The Fall Guy” set to hit theaters soon, fans eagerly await the next chapter in their cinematic collaboration.
