Lady Bulldogs Triumph in Hard-Fought Battle:

In a rematch against Sioux City West, the Class 4A No. 7 ranked Lady Bulldogs emerged victorious with a hard-fought 67-61 win in Missouri River Activities Conference action. Led by Jaelyn Marienau’s career-best performance of 34 points, the Lady Bulldogs showcased their offensive prowess and tenacity on the court. Marienau’s exceptional shooting, including three-pointers and free throws, propelled the team to victory. Additionally, Zoe Wittkop’s impressive performance with 14 points and nine assists contributed significantly to the team’s success. With a strong defensive effort and contributions from Sarah Brown and Ava Spencer, the Lady Bulldogs secured their 18th win of the season, sweeping the series against Sioux City West.

Boys Basketball Team Avenges Previous Loss:

The Le Mars boys basketball team bounced back from a previous defeat to Sioux City West, delivering a commanding 67-52 win in their rematch. With a renewed focus on defense, the Bulldogs held Sioux City West to under 35 percent shooting, a significant improvement from their previous matchup. Wanding Hosnyang led the Bulldogs with 20 points, showcasing his scoring prowess from both inside and beyond the arc. Supported by Cole Brownmiller’s 14 points and solid contributions from Drew Galles and Carter Baumgartner, the Bulldogs displayed a balanced offensive performance. Despite a spirited effort from Sioux City West, led by Tre Craft’s 16 points, the Bulldogs emerged victorious, ending their regular season on a high note.
