Leading the charge for the Waves was Jane Nwaba, who delivered a stellar performance with 16 points and six rebounds. Helena Friend also made significant contributions, adding 12 points, including nine in the second quarter, to keep Pepperdine within striking distance.
Despite Pepperdine’s comeback attempt, turnovers plagued their efforts in the second half, hindering their ability to fully close the gap on the Toreros.
